South Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a hit-and-run left a woman with serious injuries earlier this month.
The police received a call at 2.38pm on Monday November 7 reporting that a dark-coloured Ford Focus was involved in a collision with a pedestrian at the junction between Shalesmoor and Shepherd Street.
It was reported that the driver sped away from the scene towards Penistone Road.
The woman, in her 20s, was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries including a fractured elbow and significant cuts and bruises.
The police want to speak to anyone who may have seen the vehicle before or after the incident or anyone who witnessed the collision.
