A man and woman in costume are being sought by police over a suspected knife assault on three men in Sheffield City Centre.
South Yorkshire Police said an 18-year-old man suffered serious facial injuries that require ongoing hospital treatment shortly after 3am on Sunday 30 October.
Another male victim, 18, suffered a slash wound to his hip, raising suspicion over a potential knife attack, which police said was ‘unprovoked’.
Police have issued CCTV stills of two people, dressed as Batman and the Joker, they wish to identify as part of their investigation.
Prior to the assault, the three victims are understood to have left Stein Haus, previously called BierKeller, on West Street before turning onto Bailey Lane.
The trio were followed by the aforementioned duo, a man dressed as Batman and a woman dressed as the Joker, before they were ‘violently assaulted’.
The police have asked anyone who can identify the suspects pictured in the CCTV stills to come forward.
